Our Ethos.

At Studio Bille, our focus is to create quality products that endure. We believe that when something is well-crafted it will stay relevant over time. Our approach to sustainability is built upon the belief that a seasonless approach is the only way forward, aiming to create future heirlooms with subtle attitudes of abstract styles.

For the industry to become more sustainable, it must collectively slow down. The constant churn of new products each season has become the norm, driven by industry standards. To do so, the context is always important. Simple questions like who it is for and how it will be used. We believe that it’s important to have a clear intention in terms of what a new piece should achieve to create something relevant. Our consumers should be able to build on their collection of Studio Bille jewelry and value each piece regardless of when it was purchased. To us, longevity is a key parameter in sustainability. If you buy something for nothing, it's not meant to last because it has no value. Our collection will evolve with new modern pieces in a rhythm that values the artisan craftsmanship, and the creative process from start to finish. The conscious choice not to make annual collections is a large part of our brand Ethos. Our efforts will be put into creating pieces that will become future heirlooms, made to be used for a long time to come.

Our Approach.

Our commitment to sustainability is reflected in our use of natural mono materials, such as recycled and responsibly sourced 925 Sterling silver. The production process is rooted in preserving the art of craftsmanship, supporting our community, and minimizing the environmental impact. Initially, our main partner was a small family-run factory in Norway. When the demand exceeded our local community, we partnered with two factories in Firenze and Arezzo, Italy. These factories meet industry certifications, including the Responsible Jewellery Council, Amfori BSCI, SMETA, and ISO Certification 9001. Occasionally, we collaborate with other workshops for special techniques or materials, always ensuring responsible manufacturing practices. When possible, we produce our jewelry locally, maintaining our dedication to quality and sustainability. Our goal is to create a network of ethical and responsible partners who share our vision of creating sustainable jewelry that leaves a positive impact on both people and the planet.
